“Giving priority status to computer network infrastructure for the Information Age”, becomes part of the Strategic Plan. A campus fiber network, speed, internet and intranet connection, computers at every desk, lap tops, audio and video connections, data usage, and computer viruses become every day buzz-words. How do we pay for all this? We must hire qualified IT personnel and staff. Tech hardware updates become part of an on-going KCKCC way of doing business. Distance (online) learning, teaching, research, and service functions were all governed by this new computerized culture of education as the PACE program fades from view.
