"Antonio Blake" begins to have strange dreams, involving a parallel-London covered in veins, which indicate people who are about to die, and alludes to their manner of death. In the first dream that he had, he saw his old line manager, "John Uzel," in his old office, with veins wrapped around his neck, suspending him as if hung.
