Paper starts nearly 2000 years ago.Paper as we know it today was made by Ts’ai Lun.Muslims learned about the secret of papermaking after capturing a paper mill in China.Paper was used in china from 868 AD for engraving religious pictures and text.Paper reached its height of popularity in 1634 AD with wooden prints by Sung Ying-hsing.The popularity of paper spread to eastern Asia by 1610 AD.Papermaking made its way into Africa in the 8th centuryPapermaking finally spread to Europe.Paper eventually spread throughout the world and when the colonists made their way to america they brought the art of papermaking with them.Paper has been around for about two-thousand years.
