Missouri Compromise: It was passed in 1820 was admitting Missouri as a slave state and Maine as a free state.

John Brown's Raid: He had an armed slave revolt in 1859. This was by taking over U.S. at Harper Ferry, Virginia.
Election of 1860: This is that Abe Lincoln defeated the Southern Democrat John C. Breckinridge.
