Victor Williamson starts a Young Astronaut Club at Central Elementary School. The starship simulations are moved into the club's after school program.
Central Elementary School's Young Astronauts represent the United States at the first International Young Astronaut convention in Japan.
Williamson leads a delegation of Young Astronauts to visit the Kino Learning Center in Tuscon Arizona to see the school's space shuttle in operation.
Williamson moves his starship simulations into the school's gym.

Williamson sets up a space shuttle cockpit in the custodial room directly behind the gym. This is technically the first simulator.
