Stephen Biko helps unify blacks.The U.N. passes a document condemning apartheid.575 protesters are killed in Soweto. Stephan Biko is arrested and dies in jail.United Democratic Front is formed. They spread awareness of the horrors of apartheid.Many apartheid laws are repealed.F.W. de Klerk (president of South Africa) repeals remaining apartheid laws and wants a new constitution.Nelson Mandela is elected president of South Africa.
