Birth of Frederick Douglass in Talbot County, Maryland as a Slave. it is believed, that the Father from Frederick is white and the Owner of him, Aaron AnthonyWhen he was round about 10, his Mother, Harriet Baley, dies. Frederick Douglas saw his Mother only 4-5 Times.In 1825, he became a Home Slave from a relative of his owner.Frederick fled with borrowed documents from a friend by aIn 1836, he tried to escape from the Jail, but failed1830,Douglass discovered the book "The Columbian Orator" which gave him the concept of freedom and human rights.His master Aaron Anthony, died unexpectedlyMaster Anthony sent Frederick with Hugh Auld to work in Baltimore. Hugh Auld was the brother of Colonel Anthony’ son-in-law, Thomas Auld. Douglass was determined to learn to read and write.
