Response-Louis XVI accepted the National Assembly as the government
Escalation - August 4th & 26: The National Assembly ended tax exemption for nobles and drafted the Declaration of the Rights of Man which outlined a government with power residing in the people
April 21, 1792: The King and the Assembly declared war on Austria
Escalation: Revolutionaries believed this war to be would safe-guard their government spread the revolution.
Response: Nobles fled
Reaction- Austria and Prussia declared their desire to destroy the revolution
Sans-Culottes marched to the Legislative Assembly gave all men the right to vote.
Escalation: The National Convention abolished the monarchy. Political parties such as the Jacobins, Girondins, and the Mountain were created

Response: Robespierre executed by the National Convention after his demanding of executions of many people. This is known as the Thermidor Reaction
