Luellen goes out to hunt and stumbles
upon the aftereffects of a Mexican
drug fight. There, someone asks him
for "agua". He takes a suitcase full of
money and goes home.That night, Luellen goes back to the place with water,
but discovers that the man is already dead.
He then gets chased through the desert.Luellen goes back to his
house and picks up the money,
convincing his wife to escape
to a safer place.Luellen goes on the runChigur escapes from prison by shooting a sheriff and stealing a coupleLuellen rents out two hotel rooms,
hides the money in an air ventilation system.
Ambushes Chigurh and escapes,
gets shot while in the middle of a shootout.
He limps across the border
and chucks the money into the river,
passing out on the bridge.Luellen wakes up in the hospital,
and gets a visit from Wells,
who is also looking for the money.Llewelyn calls Wells, however,
he was freshly killed by Chigur.
They share a conversation where
Chigurh threatens to kill his
wife unless he returns the money.
He never returns it.Llewelyn gets the money and goes back on the run.
A hitchhiker joins him, but they both
get killed by some drug runners while
staying at a hotel.Chigurh discovers that it is Luellen who stole the money.
Decides to hunt him down.Chigurh goes to Carla Jean, she isn't there,
but he goes through the phone billChigurh threatens the store clerk with a coin flipChigurh tracks Luellen down to the Hotel Eagle,
where he gets wounded in the shoulder.Chigurh finds the money in the air vent
and gives it back to the drug dealer.Chigur goes and kills Carla Jean. Afterwards he
gets into a car crash, and pays a teen for their shirt.Sheriff Bell is going after Chigurh. He
contemplates many things about good and e
vil throughout his internal monologues.Sheriff Bell informs Carla Jean that her husband
is as dead as a nail. He looks more into how
helpless he feels and how much he loves his wife.Sheriff Bell sort of concludes how evil is very
much present in this world, and came out
victorious. Has a very pessimistic view of the
world as he sees that evil will continue to win.
