Battle of Batoche

The battle of Batoche was a war between Canadian forces, the Metis and the indigenous peoples. It lasted for 7 days from May 5, 1885 – May 12, 1885. This battle led to the surrender of Louis Riel on may 15. He then got hanged Louis Riel started this battle he was a very important leader in the government but he fought for the rights of indigenous peoples instead.
