Jesus was born in a small town called Bethleham
Jesus was baptized in the Jordan River. Afterwards he began traveling across Judea preaching to poorer citizens and outcasts in particular.
While many people supported Jesus' message of forgiveness and hope, many were outraged and offended that he claimed to be the son of god. This went against all tradition and many powerful people did not like Jesus because of this.
Jesus was spending time with people who were shunned by society giving them hope that one day they could be saved.
Jesus made his way to Jerusalem in 33 AD. There was an event called Passover occurring and many Jews were there. Many people were trading and performing rituals there that Jesus did not approve of. In his anger he destroyed the property of the traders and made them leave. Many did not approve of this act.
Jesus was crucified on charges of treason by the Roman emperor Pontius Pilate. Christians belive he rose from the dead and ascended to heaven only a few days later.
These events all contributed to the rise of Christianity, and these stories are told hundreds of thousands of times every day.
