Dalton Model (1803)
Dalton created
the structure of an atom
named the Dalton Model. He
believed atoms were tiny spheres
that cannot be cut smaller, and
atoms of a particular element
could be identical.Thomson's Model (1904)
Thomson discovered that
while keeping Daltons
Spherical model, the sphere
held positive and negative
charges.Rutherford Model (1911)
Rutherford discovered that
these atoms have a nucelus,
a center point that holds
Positive and Negative
charges. It showed that Thomson's
pudding model was incorrect.Bohr Model (1913)
Bohr discovered that
while these atoms have
a nucleus, electrons (negative charges),
and protons (positive charges), they
also have neutrons which have the same
mass as protons, but without the charge.
Also the nucleus is surrounded by orbiting
electrons.
