The Navigation Acts contributed to the colonial War for Independence by creating economic frustration among the colonists. These laws restricted the colony's trade options with other countries and forcing them to rely on England, which limited their financial growth. Colonist begin to smuggle goods to and from the colonies. The Navigation Acts and such laws as the Stamp Act lead the way to the American Revoliution.
