1 gen 1526 anni - William Tyndale

Descrizione:

William Tyndale believed that every person should be able to read the Bible in their language, but he was stopped from translating the Bible in England by the Church authorities. In 1524, he went to Germany, and was the first to use Greek and Hebrew texts to translate the New Testament and about half of the Old Testament. Tyndale's Bible was the first English translation of the New Testament to be mass-produced due to the invention of the printing press.
