A case in which the Court held that compulsory exclusion of citizens during times of war is justified in order to reduce the risk of espionage.
A single Justice commented on the ruling, stating that it went over "the very brink of Constitutional power." Japanese people were succeptible to assimilation, but simply needed opportunity- as they were taken en masse during WWII and sent to interment camps without and arrests or convictions.
