"The summit itself was terrific, and everyone had a great time, but that wasn’t what set it apart. It was only after everyone had left that something huge happened, something that, if it had gone differently, could have changed the history of the Empire forever.

Let’s just start with saying that some parts of the Imperial Capitol building have needed some upgrades for a while, namely the pipes. With that being said, of course IOSA had to do a couple scientific collaborations with the allies when they were present. I mean listen, I’m all for the advancement of science and all that, but nobody was supervising these guys or letting them know what it could do if it went wrong, and the one time something had to go wrong, it went wrong now.

I was with the Emperor and a couple others in a room near to the Senate chamber, and we started hearing this rumbling all of a sudden. I kid you not, right next to us, a huge pipe burst and tore a hole in the wall, releasing this extremely toxic gas into the air. Everyone panicked, alarms started ringing, and people ran for cover. I felt extremely nauseous instantly, as did the Emperor whose arm I had grabbed, making our way into a nearby room and locking the door. We both then began throwing up profusely, our vision swirled and clouded, wondering how the hell we got to this point. The Emperor was clutching his stomach, trying to keep it together, but was still repeating the same thing over and over to himself between vomiting; “I am alive, I am alive.” The poor guy was basically on his knees praying to live while I, even while also essentially vomiting my guts out, was trained to deal with situations like this as an IOSA Agent. No, it still didn’t feel great, and as I’ll explain in a moment there were repercussions for the both of us, but the point still stands that I was at the advantage in terms of optimism and ability. After about an hour, a couple law enforcement officers specializing in chemical leaks reached us and found us in the room."
