Pirate Johnny Gets Dead Man Off His Chest

JOHNNY DEPP'S missing business partner has been found after almost 20 years - quashing rumors the movie hunk had him killed!

Anthony Fox was one of the "Pirates of the Caribbean" star's partners in the Viper Room, with a 49 percent stake.

He sued Depp's side of the business in 2000, claiming the club's books were cooked and they owed him.

However, during a jury trial, Fox mysteriously went missing!

At first it was speculated he was the victim of a Mafia hit - or that Johnny might have been involved - but Anthony's ex-wife now claims she saw him long after he "disappeared."

Renowned private eye Paul Barresi said he has traced Anthony to Europe, where he believes he is only days away from making contact.

"Little did people know, Anthony had run away before! If he comes forward, he can clear up the rumors once and for all," Barresi told The National ENQUIRER.

Anthony disappeared on Dec. 19, 2001, and suspicions of murder heightened when his car was found abandoned three weeks later.
But Barresi spoke with Judith McBane, who was married to Anthony for ten years and said she saw him in a Los Angeles bookstore six months after he seemingly vanished.

"He had a very distinct mannerism and look about him, unmistakable physical characteristics. Nobody looked like
Tony," she said.

Judith also recounted how Anthony had pulled the same trick in 1995.

"Why did you disappear on me?" she said she demanded of her ex once she'd traced him to Newhall, Calif.

"Because I wanted to get rid of you!" he told her.

Barresi is now assisting Ventura police detectives in their cold case Fox hunt. Using information provided by Judith, he was able to get leads in Anthony's birth country, the U.K., and trace his location.

Following Anthony's disappearance, Johnny settled the case out of court and turned his stake in the Viper Room - a celebrity hangout in the '90s and scene of actor River Phoenix's 1993 overdose death - over to Anthony's daughter, Amanda. She later sold it in 2008.
