The General Assembly:

Welcomes Security Council resolution 237 (1967) on protecting civilians and prisoners of war in the Middle East.
Endorses the President of the General Assembly's appeal on 26 June 1967.
Commends the humanitarian efforts of the Red Cross, Red Cross Societies, and other voluntary organizations.
Appreciates the assistance provided by UNICEF to women and children in the area.
Commends UNRWA's Commissioner-General for continuing agency activities.
Endorses UNRWA's efforts to provide emergency humanitarian assistance to displaced persons.
Welcomes coordination efforts between UNRWA and other organizations.
Calls on member states to facilitate the transport of supplies.
Appeals for special contributions from governments, organizations, and individuals to support UNRWA and other humanitarian efforts.
Requests the Secretary-General to report urgently on the needs identified in paragraphs 5 and 6.
Requests the Secretary-General to report on the implementation of this resolution.
