32yo; went to a bar, Francis Truck Stop (now known as Club Maccao), with her sister-in-law + her SIL's husband. Phyllis's husband was at work that night, and her children were left with a babysitter

She left the bar later that night, telling her SIL that a friend would take her home. She called home to check on her children before leaving. She was last seen leaving ~10pm with an unidentified male

Nov. 22: Phyllis's partially-clothed, decomposed body was found by pheasant hunters down an embankment in a gully off the side of Yettner Rd ~5mi from her home. COD could not be determined due to the state of decomposition. It's believed that she was raped before she was murdered. Her capri pants were rolled down, inside out. She was still wearing a green blouse and white bra. The way her body was positioned suggests she was thrown from a vehicle. Her wallet and jewelry were found at the scene.

The position of her body also indicated that she had died elsewhere and was left at the dump site after rigor mortis had set in, locking her body in a semi-seated position w/ her arms underneath her, and her legs going angled up the embankment

There have been many theories over the years, including speculation that she was a victim of the Zodiac or the Golden State Killer, though detectives couldn't confirm this and no suspects have been named in Phyllis's case.
Personally the MO seems very similar to that of SRHM, ~if~ this is the work of a serial killer
