20 or 22yo; last seen on Aug. 22 at ~1am at her apartment in Long Beach to meet an unidentified male friend. She was last seen by Sandy Flint, her roommate and long-time friend.

One article insinuates that Kathleen was last seen by Sandy at the apartment they shared at 1517 S Adams St in Glendale (at least, that's her last known address) when she was "going around the corner" to call someone, while another article explicitly states that she & Sandy were at the corner of Long Beach Blvd & Pacific Coast Highway, 21 blocks from where her body was found, when Kathleen had to step away to make a phone call.

A rope was found around her neck, and she had been bound hand and foot. She had been strangled at least 7 days prior to the discovery of her body (aka strangled on Aug. 22). The only thing on her body was a gold wedding band. However, Kathleen was not married.

Police said she was probably killed elsewhere, and her body was dumped in the lot by her killer
