19yo; Victoria, also known by Vickie, was last seen leaving her home in Eureka to hitchhike to Samoa Beach, wearing a multi-colored sundress and carrying a small backpack

June 30: located deceased, buried in a shallow grave on Samoa Beach. She had been dead for 2 weeks. She had been strangled with an unidentified object. It's possible she'd been raped.

Janet Lee Bowman, Karen Fischer, Sherrie Smith, and Vickie Schneider are four young female homicide victims in Humboldt County, all killed btwn Sept. 1975 and June 1976. Their cases have been linked by newspapers from the beginning, and they are sometimes referred to as the Humboldt Four

According to one reporter, some local reporters believed (at least at one point) that Henry Lee Lucas may have been Schneider's killer. However, he has been known to fabricate confessions
