At about 11:15am on Wednesday, March 19, 1975, Letitia Fagot, 25, was found nude in her home after a welfare check was requested by her coworkers when she failed to show up for work. She lived at 148 Los Cerros in Walnut Creek, Contra Costa County, CA. Her home was, "in the Ygnacio Valley area, behind John Muir Hospital."

Letitia was found strangled and suffered a severe blow to the head by a blunt object.

Philip Joseph Hughes Jr has been convicted of the murders of Maureen Field (1972), Lisa Ann Beery (1974), and Letitia Fagot (1975), all in Contra Costa County, CA. He is a possible suspect in the murder of Cosette Ellison (1970).
