19yo; went shopping, then left home at 10pm to go to a car wash and then pick up her former boyfriend at a local restaurant. She never arrived to pick up her friend

Her vehicle (her former boyfriend's blue 1969 Ford Maverick), cleaned on the outside, was found at Charlie's Car Wash located at 25400 Mission Boulevard in Hayward. Her purse was locked inside the vehicle. Papers from the interior of the car were lying on the pavement outside the driver's door. The officer who responded to the scene thought it appeared to be staged.

In 2019, a witness reported seeing 2 men in a white van at the car wash on the night of Eastin's disappearance; saw the driver and a man loading Eastin into the back of the truck.

There were rumors that she was pregnant at the time of her disappearance, but this has not been confirmed. Her ex-boyfriend has been cleared as a suspect

Her case is thought to be potentially linked to those of Robin Graham (1970), Rose Tashman (1970), Cheri Jo Bates (1966), Cindy Lee Mellin (1970), Kathleen Johns (1970), Ernestine Francis Terrello (1972), and Mona Jean Gallegos (1975)
