Stephanie J Black, 11, went missing from a Rio Linda bus stop while walking from her home to school. Her school books were found lying abandoned on 18th St.

On November 11, her badly-decomposed body was found by two 16yo boys rabbit-hunting behind cattails in a rice paddy just 25ft off Jackson Rd, north of Baseline Rd. She was submerged in water. She was only wearing a blouse, and no other clothing was found at the scene. She was found 1.5mi northeast of where Nancy Feusi had been dumped, in the same Pleasant Grove neighborhood.

There is some suspicion that Herman Lee Hobbs killed Stephanie. He is guilty of the murders of Terri Pata (1975) and Holly Ann Campiglia (1980), as well as likely Brenda Ann Tucker (1994), and possibly Harriet Riley (1975) and Katherine Harlan (1979), as well as possibly the disappearance of Jennifer Lynn Wallis (1997)
