15 dic 1978 anni - Kerry Ann Graham &
Francine Marie Trimble
Descrizione:
Dec. 15: seen by Kerry's mother at her home in Forestville, CA; Francine had told her mom she intended to do some Christmas shopping at Coddingtown Mall in Santa Rosa
Kerry (15) & Francine (14) were last seen at Kerry's home on Dec. 15 or 16, reportedly told Kerry's sister that they planned to go to a party
afternoon of July 8, 1979: their unclothed skeletal remains discovered by two tourists. The tourists had stopped their vehicle on private land near the Jackson Demonstration State Forest, alongside Highway 20 in Mendocino County, ~12mi west of Willits and 80mi from the girls' residences. One of the tourists exited the vehicle to briefly walk in the vicinity of where they parked. Venturing into a steep, heavily overgrown area near James Creek, they located a human skull protruding from a shallow grave in brush midway down an embankment of the creek, a short distance from the road
Both victims had been bound with duct tape and concealed within plastic, before being buried in a shallow grave. Initial examinations determined that the 2 victims had likely been murdered on or about Dec. 8, 1978. Francine's remains were found with a single earring of a bird, presumed handmade and constructed from a shell-like material
Francine Trimble was white. Kerry Graham was of partial Native American ancestry, hence the MMIWG tag.
