20yrs; At the time of her death, Patricia lived at 2200 Lisa Lane in Pleasant Hill, CA. She was a student at Diablo Valley College, also in Pleasant Hill.

On Thursday, March 5 1970, Patricia attended her gym class at Diablo Valley College at 7:00pm. According to her classmates, Patricia usually only stayed for the first hour of her gym class, which she again did that evening. She left the building at approximately 7:50pm.

Patricia's boyfriend was expecting her back at her home and became concerned when she didn't return by 8:15pm.

At 7:20am the next day (Friday, March 6 1970), a construction worker named Ernest Ellington discovered Patricia's body in the DVC Vikings football stadium. One newspaper stated that, "The body was found across the college stadium's sunken football field from the women's gym structure."


She was wearing a black blouse and a three-quarter length coat. She had been strangled with her gym tights.




According to a newspaper clipping, Patricia's purse, which contained her identification, was on the front seat of her car, which was parked in a lot adjacent to the stadium; however, it was later reported that no identification was found in her purse, but she was instead identified by a bus pass found in her clothing. Her wallet was missing, though Contra Costa sheriffs were int he process of interviewing her friends to see if Patricia normally kept her purse in the car and took her wallet with her. Also according to the newspaper, "A pair of leather sandals were on the floorboard. Her car keys were found on the Pleasant Hill campus parking lot Friday afternoon."

Detectives initially thought that Patricia may have been sexually assaulted or raped. However, preliminary tests done by the chief ME, Dr William Bogart, had inconclusive results.



Patricia King is included in Graysmith's list of possible Zodiac victims. She is also listed among potential victims of the suspected Astrological Murders serial killer on Wikipedia.
