Ymir emerges from his celestial womb, exploding in a brilliant casting off of it's staller crib. Some of Muspelheim's mass is stripped away and its outer layers are shock-heated by the supernova. It is ejected from it's previous galactic orbit. Niflheim remains in it's orbit.

Much of Aesheim is destroyed. The survivors are aghast in horror as the being they were meant to protect laid waste to them. The survivors are bathed in critical levels of cosmic radiation, imbuing them with additional powers beyond their already advanced genetics.
