The Beyonders, survivors of the Celestial's original universe and faithful servants of the Aspirants, successfully invade this universe and lead a war against the Celestials. The Beyonders succeed in wiping out much of the Celestial Host and destroy trillions of the species they created to worship them. The Living Tribunal uses the Infinity Stones to destroy the Beyonders, and to seal the universe off from the rest of the multiverse, preventing future incursions. The last of the Celestials seeds are dispersed throughout the universe, to grow on their own, without guidance from their elders. Without the Builders to create and maintain species, species begin evolving on their own based on the Builder's matrix of life they had seeded the universe with.
