Resentment for the N.U.S.A. had been boiling in the former lands of the Alamajara Caliphate since before the ink had dried on the treaty of union between it, and Freiheit-Arisante. This growing discontent had manifested itself in the so called "Horse War", better known as the Rivet Massacre.

An underground movement, led by the former Grand Vizier of the Alamajara Caliphate, Diety Singer, would decide to launch a massive series of strikes against the whole of the N.U.S.A. This rebellion would see the burning of towers on the coast of the Jharad Desert, the burning of the historical village of "Africa", the burning of the former capital of Arisante, the home of President Carlo I, the burning of Arcadias, the home of the N.U.S.A. Chancellor, Ash I, as well as the partial detonation of the Spawn Cathedral, which was to be the new N.U.S.A. parliment, and finally, and most devastatingly, the burning of the vital Trislandic Trade hub of Porto Mare.

Though not a member of the N.U.S.A., Porto Mare had been situated at a crossroads between the main routes of travel inside the N.U.S.A., the bulk of the resources used by the N.U.S.A.'s non-Alamajara members had been bought through trade with the Trislandics in Porto. Therefore, the Alamajaran Sepratists, specifically a man named Akira, would set fire to the city.

Following this attack, Kaiser Stephan VII would demand the disillusion of the N.U.S.A., custody of the culprits behind the attack, and two double chests of acacia wood, numbering nearly 7,000 wooden logs.

Otherwise, the Trislandic Empire proclaimed it's intentions to declare war upon the N.U.S.A., in order to destroy the Alamajaran Sepratists.
