14 agos 1587 anni - Pilub J. Šeikésam Publishes the play, "Hate of Rivals [Õlíthè Skídãñgõv]"

Descrizione:

The classic play of "Hate of Rivals [Õlíthè Skídãñgõv], written by Pilub Javik Šeikésam in 1587, regards the story of a man named Ívyudas (Hate in Aullest) who works as a shepherd in Oiovè. Ívyudas visits Kueplios and ends up going into a brothel where he meets a woman named Yumansa (song in Aullest) who he sleeps with. Throughout the play, Ívyudas encounters numerous strangers who attack him for no reason, pushing the protagonist to start slowly hating everything and everyone, this is the rising action of the play. The climax of the story is when he attacks Yumansa unprovoked, who had been at his side since the beginning. Ívyuda is put in prison after attacking her, and he is left stuck until a time jump of about 17 years to show that Yumansa had a child and he was free from prison. Her child, Dharmíckas (Murder in Aullest), sought revenge against his father who had been revealed to be Ívyudas and Dharmíckas had begun a long search for him after his father had been released from prison. The two have several confrontations and in the final scene, Dharmíckas says a long monolouge regarding hate, revenge, life, and various other philosophical themes and then the two fight, ending with Ívyudas being being pierced by his son's dagger. Once stabbed, Ívyudas says his last words, "For the hate of rivals was my end [Aso õlíthè skídãñgõv sevas èsãne eš]", and then the curtain closes, ending the play.

When the play was first published and performed, Prince Xerin II Falkot saw it and wrote a letter to P.J. Šeikésam and stated his appraisal of it. He called it his greatest play and the best piece of theater in history. Other people saw it throughout the years before Emperor Ṡebda Ũñkítṡ's ban on Šeikésam's work, a man named Xerin Hasulènta wrote 3 essays about the themes of the play, rivalry, love, and revenge and titled the three works as "The Philosophies of the Hate of Man [Koskarovè Olíthè Dogamov]". The three essays became some of the most important pieces of literature for Oipientian Yobalov philosophy regarding human emotions and thoughts.

The play is still performed, albeit at a lesser rate than before, today throughout Yueroki, with it having been translated into about 26 different languages. It's script made it into the National Archives of the Republic and a copy of it is displayed in the Museum of Javicia in Nèvašivi.

The ending:
Dharmíckas: "O father, how you have failed. You lay upon the ground unholy and writhing, such a sick serpent you are. You have failed your duties to be righteous to your family and to yourself. Disregarding all senses granted by the gods, you hate and you hate and you hate all that you are able to. No will will will what the gods willed. Evil, selfish, demon! I believed you were good! But wrong was I for you are nothing but a fat vagrant, desiring nothing but revenge and pity! I must forget you, o father, for you have wronged all the gods and attacked my mother, leaving her blind. For that I stab you to death. Die!"
