The "Big Four" David Lloyd George of Britain, Georges Clemenceau of France, Woodrow Wilson of the United States, and Vittorio Orlando of Italy drafted the peace treaty to end the war, placing all the blame on Germany. They lost land and population, had to pay massive reparations, and were not allowed to make any war preparations.
