The unexpected meeting of a world-renowned scientist and an award-winning film star and activist will make for an enlightening and inspiring evening of conversation and ideas as Richard Dawkins and Amber Heard appear together on stage at the Ikeda Theater on October 16.

Author of such landmark books as The Selfish Gene and The God Delusion, Richard Dawkins’ passion for the wonders of science and the vital importance of reason has inspired millions of admirers. “An Evening with Richard Dawkins” takes the world-renowned evolutionary biologist on a four-city tour of the U.S., engaging audiences with his trademark wisdom, wit, and insight, and sharing the stage with truly remarkable special guests.

A critically-acclaimed actress, activist, and outspoken atheist, Amber Heard has starred in such films as Aquaman, Justice League, Pineapple Express, Her Smell, and Friday Night Lights.

As a dedicated human rights activist, Heard is an ambassador for the American Civil Liberties Union and was named a Human Rights Champion for the United Nations’ Stand Up for Human Rights campaign. She has also worked with organizations such as the Syrian American Medical Society, Amnesty International, Smile Train, and Planned Parenthood.

Amber Heard will join Prof. Dawkins at the Ikeda Theater in Mesa, Arizona on Wednesday, October 16 at 7:00pm, where this unlikely pair will engage in unscripted conversation, tackling a wide variety of compelling topics spanning science, religion, and more.
