Nur al-din turned his attention to the southern frontiers of Jerusalem towards the town of Banyas.

The town was vulnerable as it's ruler was in Egypt.

Nur al-din managed to have the city surrender in a matter of days with heavy siege artillery.

Both the capture of Banyas and Harim demonstrate Nur al-din's strive for Jihad against the Franks.
