With Nur al-din's army recovered, the emir looked towards Harim in hopes of retaking Muslim land and gathering Christian attention.
He began to attack the city, leading Bohemond III of Antioch, Raymond III of Tripoli and Joselin of Courtenay to gather an army of 10,000 men and 600 knights.
Nur al-din's army destroyed the Franks resulting in Bohemond, Raymond, and Joselin being captured in Aleppo.
Nur al-din now had Harim leaving Antioch in a vulnerable position.
