- Located in the Royal Library (Sächsische Landesbibliotek) in Dresden, Germany since 1739
- Believed to have been sent by Hernán Cortés as a gift to Charles V
- Talks about astronomy, calendars, rituals, planting, prophecies, as well as sickness and medicine
- Some damage to the codex due to handling, sunlight, moisture and water damage
