during this, they worry and gossip about felix's mounting drinking problem, since he hasn't been seen for a while. they conclude that he has to be out drinking somewhere. apparently, the extent of his addiction is primarily known to susan, charles, chris, and linda, but not the waltens.
charles' daughter, lily, is spending time with her mother on the weekend
