The road to the castle in Shafire city was packed with individuals. The Kings announcement had been made just 6 day's ago. Today was the first burning. The wood was piled high around a large wooden structure that held 20 Men and women. The looked in a bad way, beaten and bruised, bloody. Some cried from their pole built into the platform, asking for us to see reason. others prayed to their "...Patron..."

The crowd was seething for their blood. How dare they try to come into our towns, our lives, and spread their evil! Children stood a the front row, parents wanting the children, the worst victims in this, to take their revenge as they deserved. As the fire went up, the cries for mercy turned into cries of pain. The hatred was in the air, with the smell of burning flesh.

The City of Shafire was never the same. Tensions spread quickly, the kings supporters reported any magic sympathizers and onto the stake they went. Soon, a natral devide happened. The humans, in general, being more open minded then the Elves. Old tensions rose again, leaving the city a ticking time bomb just waiting to be set off.
