Hours after posting a “Back to You” teaser featuring the number 28, Louis is photographed in Amsterdam for Eleanor’s birthday. The location is later identified by fans as a gay bar. He looks happy while alongside fans. Shortly afterward, however, a very interesting video is posted on Eleanor’s Snapchat account. There are several things to notice here. First, Louis is literally flipping off his girlfriend while supposedly having a romantic getaway to celebrate her birthday, and he is doing so with a rather displeased expression unlike the expressions he usually wears when light-heartedly showing the middle finger. Second, of all possible shirts he could have chosen to wear, Louis is sporting a tshirt with the name “Alexander.” This is significant because Harry’s character in Dunkirk (which premiered days earlier) is named “Alex.” Third, Louis is using the hand with his “28” tattoo to flip off the camera, once again emphasizing this symbolic number. (Admittedly, this last may have been coincidence, but the first two are harder to dismiss.)
