11 giug 1987 anni - the 1987 election
Descrizione:
The Labour manifesto was more promising than previous elections. Neil Kinnock was well liked according to opinion polls, who showed his leadership skills when opposing a left-wing faction in the party called Military Tendency. However divisions still arose with Kinnock believing in the disarmament of nuclear weapons with most of his cabinet disagreeing.
Much like the 1983 election, Conservative victory stemmed from the oppositions divided into Labour and Liberal/SDP. The Liberal and SDP had allied from disappointing election results.
