26 marzo 1808 anni - First Time Mass Production Is Automated
Descrizione:
During the 18th century, weaving became a significant yet labor-intensive industry in the United Kingdom and France because weavers required help from others to raise and lower threads in order to create patterns. The "Jacquard Loom," an equipment that would eventually become popular, was invented by French inventor Joseph-Marie Jacquard in 1804, following several attempts to automate the procedure. It increased the weaving pace of intricate designs from one inch to two feet per day by more than tripling the translation of patterns from punch cards into instructions that regulated the raising and lowering of threads. In this sense, the loom was the first computer program; it was also the first system that was employed on a large scale for program execution.
