This was the first of the Jewish ethnic cleansing of the Indigenous Palestinians.

As soon as the UN imposed the United Nations Partition Plan for Palestine, the Zionists declared independence on May 14 and immediately went against the proposal declaring a religious war and blight of the Palestinian people.

They began with the massacre of Daar Yassine, a Palestinian village off the outskirts of Jerusalem during April 9th. This massacre entailed:
- population of 600
- Only 12 defendants were armed
- 107 villagers killed
- 12 wounded
- remainder fled
- most casualties were families including WOMEN AND CHILDREN

Later these Zionist paramilitary groups went on to cause more massacres leading up to Israeli Independence and declaration of war, the start of Al-Nakbah (catastrophe) and the subsequent Arab-Israeli War

With the independence of the Jewish state and it's plans for ethnic cleansing the Nakbah began displacing over 250,000 Palestinians from their home
