Kaepernick made headlines when he started sitting down for the National Anthem during the 49ers third preseason game. "The NFL has all sorts of rules and regulations. The only way out for them is to set a rule that you can't kneel during our National Anthem!," is a quote straight from Donald trumps twitter as he is planning to ban this protest for being disrespectful. Martin Luther king Jr. would think that Donald Trump is in the wrong because in America we have the right to free speech; Colin's protest was not violent which means it was in no violation of law or rule, and his protests are about how he feels oppressed because Colin and other people of his skin color are not treated right by law enforcement in America. Martin Luther King Jr. supports free speech for all. I think Martin would feel that Trumps restriction of Colin and other players protesting is disrespectful to players of all sports by taking away there first amendment by force because if they don't agree there out of a job.
