Using the knowledge gained from the Ares I and Ares II missions, as well as the knowledge being gathered for the coming Ares III and Ares IV endeavors, the first true lunar "Settlement" began construction in 2070.

The MSA resumed moon missions similar to those of the Luna I II and III missions of the 2030's, and with so many participating nations these missions would soon become too numerous for the public to keep track of them all.

The well-located Shackleton Crater was now no longer usable due to the nuclear strike there which ended the Lunacy, but on the north Pole region habitations started to pop up everywhere from all member nations in the M.S.A., along with some from Russia and China.

From this point forward, the moon would come to be permanently inhabited by humans, even though none of them were truly permanent residents. Despite the temporariness of these settlements, there were so many of them that from this day forth the moon would never be entirely unoccupied by humans ever again.
