The Puente Project is an interdisciplinary program created by Felix Galaviz and Patricia McGrath to increase the college-going rate of Mexican-American-identifying students. The program was built targeting first-generation students and letting them know that now there was program that provided writing, counseling, and mentoring resources to support them.
