Major Event 1: On June 2, Queen Elizabeth II celebrated 60 years on the throne as the Queen of England. One million people came to London to see the event, most of them clustering below the balcony of the Buckingham Palace as the Royal Family and Royal Air Force expressed their appreciation and gratitude for the Queen’s lifelong service to the country and commonwealth.
