Simon the Zealot is distinct from Simon Peter and Simon the brother of Jesus. He is known as the second bishop of Jerusalem.

Jude (a.k.a. Thaddeus or Labbaeus) is known for being the brother of Jesus and James (the Just), as well as for his short epistle. He continued to preach around Judea and Samaria, but also brought the gospel to Syria and Lebanon.

Accounts vary drastically regarding the death of Simon the Zealot, but most commonly accepted is the account in which Simon joined Jude in Lebanon; Simon is believed to have suffered martyrdom via crucifixion, while Jude was killed with an axe.
