Descrizione:
Paul wrote his letter to the church in Rome from Corinth on his third missionary journey (see Acts 20:2-3 & Romans 16:23). He writes this letter with the help of a scribe named Tertius (see Romans 16:22).
Paul writes with the hope of uniting Jewish and Gentile believers in the gospel of Christ, emphasizing a longing for the gentiles to become children of God (see Romans 1:5).
Paul also wants to set up a base of operations in Rome, one that will help him go further west (see Romans 15:22-24) in order to fulfill the ultimate goal of preaching the gospel (see Romans 11:33-36).
