The regiment had been stagnating for a while and even declining under Maggot's management. The lack of change and communication between Oberst and the community had reached an all time high, even between Maggot and Muszy.

Muszy had long been trying to meet with Maggot to discuss regimental issues. They would come up with meeting dates only for Maggot to cancel at the last minute.

Eventually it got to a point where Muszy had enough of it and had (presumably) a conversation with Maggot, to which Maggot asked Muszy what should he do. Muszy replied to him to step down, which Maggot would do, ending both his term and the hated Company System shortly after.
