The battle of Luzon starts as American bombers storm to Manila Bay looking to pick off any Japanese ships. As Japan is expecting a large sea battle they are baffled as they see American men storming onto the island because the Japanese held Luzon. Luzon is one of the islands in the Philippines. The U.S. was trying to take the Philippine Islands from the Japanese Forces. The Philippine Islands would be perfect for the U.S. to run back to and a perfect place to hold supply. After the American forces landed on the beaches they start to take the ground. After Japanese forces stop their aggression, Philippines citizens are taken free. Still, south of the Pasig River, there are still dangerous Japanese troops. The troops start to bomb the cities where the Americans are and American troops soon become rescuers. Many Filipino citizens die in the flames. American troops soon start to rough out and destroy Japanese troops. After an intense battle of American and Filipino losses, the church bells ring signaling the end of the battle.
