Since King Ferdinand VII of Spain took power of the monarchy again, the fear of another spanish invasion came too. The Triumvirate, in middle of a crisis, ordered the Assembly of Year XIII to create a one-person executive office, so then, the Supreme Directory was created, replacing the Second Triumvirate and dissolving it
